Birchwood 18 in Calshot

We have been asked to share this Lonely boat, a Birchwood 18, that’s for sale in Calshot (Near Southampton).

Her back story is that she was bought fairly recently and she needed her control unit/throttle fixing. Her owner paid a local engine repair guy to do the work but he never did despite taking the money. Her owner had intended to use the boat this summer and is now in a position where he has a boat being stored that he can’t use. He lives a few hours away so getting her sorted isn’t straightforward and he now has another running boat to replace this one.

She is on a road trailer which was towed to Calshot from Plymouth fairly recently. Her Johnson engine is a runner and once the control unit is sorted she would make a nice fishing boat for someone. Her owner is new to boating and doesn’t have the confidence in sorting the issue himself. But someone who knows their way around boats would be able to rectify her problem without much effort.
