Missel Thrush was constructed in 1961 by Dagless Ltd, Wisbech England comprising carved iroko planking on oak frames.

- Saloon accessed from the wheelhouse with double settee and table
- Aft owners’ stateroom with private heads and shower
- Forward through the saloon stairs lead down to:

- Port side galley panelled in mahogany
- Starboard side access to engine bay under saloon
- Twin berth toom to starboard
- Forward in bow twin v-berth
Propulsion is from two BMC 4-cylinder diesels (possibly not original) via BW reduction gearbox, bronze shafts and 3 blade propellers

History:
Originally sold into private ownership Missel Thrush has been owned and operated by Taymara, a charitable organisation located in Tayport, Fife and has being doing pleasure trips since 2015. In Taymara’s ownership she has been maintained to MCA category 3, Small Commercial Vessel Code of Compliance standard.
In March 2024 at the biannual lift out for coding a section of the keel was found missing, bolts had failed and allowed keel to drop off. A temporary repair was carried out by Mackay Boat builders, Arbroath.
