Matched to a New Owner

This Boat is no longer lonely

Fairline Weekender 21

The Fairline Weekender 21 has now found a new home. Sadly the boat was a victim of theft in between the last time the owner had visited her. However in the long list of interested parties the owner found someone to pass the boat on to. So they will be getting a cheap boat project and the owner can step away from boating as was the original aim.

The Original Advert

Boats like this are the reason we set up the Lonely Boats page. She’s been sat in a boat yard and untouched for a couple of years due to personal circumstances for the owners. Ultimately she is a nice boat and in need of a good clean and putting back together. Exactly what the Lonely Boats page was set up to help save.

She’s a Fairline Weekender 21 and stored at Bray Marina near Maidenhead. All of the pictures in the advert are the ones we have been provided by the owner. Her owners also sent us this summary of the boat’s situation, “We bought this from new and we upgraded the engine to a BMW.  The boat has done very very few hours and is moored at Bray Marina.

“We have had the boat moored at Beaulieu and it is sea faring. The leg of the boat is inside the cabin. It was always well looked after, unfortunately our circumstances changed over the past couple of years the boat has not been on the top of the agenda.

“My husband bought it new and to his specification at The Southampton Boat Show and he wanted a more powerful engine than the usual engine the boat came with (also his client at the time was BMW). She would be a great project for someone.”

In our opinion from the pictures she initially needs a good clean through. Straight away she’d look back to her best. Then the leg would need refitting before the boat could be put back in the water. At 21ft she is also trailerable so it gives a buyer flexibility in where she is stored going forward. Bray Marina may be open to the boat staying where she is but that is something you would have to discuss with them.

If you are interested please leave your details on our Lonely Boat form and we will pass them on to the owner. They will then make contact and you can hopefully do a deal to save this lonely Fairline Weekender 21.
