Halcyon 23 For Sale in Wareham

We have been asked to share this Halcyon 23 Yacht for sale. Her owner has provided us with an extremely detailed write up about the boat. “The Halcyon 23, designed by Alan Buchanan, is a small yacht of conventional appearance which started life under the name of Crystal Under the Halcyon name she was marketed by Offshore Yachts Limited of Royston. Herts and was offered with either fin or bilge keels. This Halcyon 23 is a good solid very capable boat and a great beginner craft. I have owned her for 2.5 years , only selling as upgrading to bigger boat. I sail her mostly solo, had no previous sailing experience prior to ownership (apart from windsurfing). Sleeps 4 cosily! but 2 adults in comfort.”

“She is a joy to sail and very easy to handle. Very seaworthy and comfortable. The inboard Yanmar 10 hp diesel starts and runs beautifully– could do with servicing although was done last winter while out of water- along with 2 coats of antifoul.”

“Previous owner had new bilge keels fitted 2019. I have Re-covered all the seating/berths and made new curtains summer 2021. New GPS fitted but not connected. New cabin floor installed September 23. New anchor and 10m chain 30m rope 2021. New pump for sink needs wiring. Ridiculously big gas bottle for gas hob has loads left. Copious amount of storage space under cockpit seating as well as under all berths- 2x lockers in cabin for clothing etc. She is ready to sail but could do with some cosmetic tlc. Sails in good condition foresail roller reefing in good order.. 6x new personalised fenders bought summer 23. Lots of extras included. Currently moored on river at Wareham (Dorset).”
