Matched to a New Owner
Plymouth Pilot 18
Matched to a New Owner
This Boat is no longer lonely
This Plymouth pilot 18 was a boat that we picked up a few years ago. It had sat in our Gosport yard waiting to be cleaned up. Initially Steve had earmarked the boat to be the boat he keeps. However as the years ticked by and other bots presented themselves the Pilot was becoming a Lonely boat.
Steve had originally bought the boat as a project from Newhaven in Sussex. It was in a bad way and needed a new engine. We had a new Beta engine fitted and the woodwork refreshed. But two years later the boat hadn’t moved from outside of our window. This winter we decided that it was time to finish off the boat and get her listed for sale.
After a couple of weeks of the boat being listed, and a few viewings, we finally found a new home for. It’s a fitting new home for the Plymouth Pilot 18 as it’s going back to near her home port. Her new owners are keeping her in a yard in Salcombe which is around the corner from Plymouth.
We hope that the new owners go on to have many happy years with the boat. The Devon coastline will provide some great days out to test the brand new Beta engine we had fitted.
