A Bruce Roberts designed Spray 36, KASIMA is a steel sailing boat, built by my father in 1999. KASIMA has 2 single berths in the rear cabin, 1 double berth in the forward cabin and if required a single berth in the saloon.

Initially used on the west coast of Scotland from 1999 until 2005, KASIMA sailed to France in 2005 and spent 6 years cruising the west coast of France from Benodet to La Rochelle based in Port d’Arzal-Camoël. KASIMA returned to Scotland in 2011 and cruised the west coast until 2015.

KASIMA has been laid up ashore since 2015 with the intention of returning her to operational service in 2025 following retirement, however a significant back injury now forces the sale of the vessel.

Due to the length of time KASIMA been out of the water some areas require attention due to surface rust.

KASIMA has a high equipment specification which includes:

• Lewmar winches and clutches;
• Main sail, with 3 reefing points;
• Stay sail, cruising chute and roller reefing yankee;
• Set of storm sails;
• Raymarine Autohelm Series ST60 Autopilot, Depth, Speed & Wind;
• Raymarine Chart Plotter & Radar;
• AIR X Marine Wind Turbine;
• Horizon 1500 Electric Anchor Winch;
• Taylors Paraffin 2 plate cooker, grill and oven with 1.5 gallon Stainless steel tank;
• Lowrance GPS;
• Navtex;
• VHF Radio;
• Hydraulic Steering;
• Diesel fuelled boiler supplying hot water and heating;
• CQR anchor with approximately 60m of chain;
• 3 x 50 gallon water tanks; and
• 2 x 50 gallon diesel tanks.
