We have been asked to share this Lonely boat which is local to us in Gosport. She is currently in Haslar Marina and we have personally visited the boat. We think she is a great boat for someone to take on and enjoy. Her owner has lived on board but now wants a change of scenery and to go travelling. That means that someone else could take on this live-aboard opportunity. Both engines started on the button and we are told the GRP hull is sound. Her interior on the whole is dry and well maintained. She would comfortably sleep 4 people with two separate bedroom areas. You may be able to take on the mooring if you discuss with the marina but if not the boat can be moved under her own steam. Her owner has also asked us to note that she has around 700 litres of fuel in her tanks.

Notes from the Owner:

Villanelle is a Storebro RC34 from 1974 and is a wooden boat with a glass fibre hull, made of mahogany with teak decks and is in remarkable condition for her age.

Since purchasing Villanelle in August 2020 I have spent approximately £30k on refurbishing and updating her. Works completed since then include:

Raymarine Element navionics including auto pilot which complements a Garmin depth sounder and Naviionics VHF radio.

All core electrical components including wiring, batteries, transformers etc renewed.

Both engines have had their turbos and heat exchanger’s rebuilt as well as all components checked and replaced where necessary. Both engines start on the button every time and the boat is capable of 20+ knots. The boat has full set of spare components, impellers, belts etc as well as the tools needed for the boat.

The boat was anti-fouled and had all 4 anodes replaced last June 2024.

All sea cocks have been checked and replaced where necessary with the new variety (2 in 2023)

All internal facilities are fully functional, the cooker is supplied with 2 x 907 gas cylinders.

The boat has had new rigging for the stanchions, fenders and comes with a 4 man survival raft. (expires Sep 2025)

On top of the boat, it has a spot light, horn and weather station to monitor internal/outside conditions and all navigation lights are functional.

I have been a live aboard on the boat for 2.5 years and it is very comfortable and quite luxurious environment with all the internal mahogany fittings.
