Westerly Pentland For Sale in Bursledon (Near Southampton)

This boat has now matched to a new owner, thanks to everyone who showed interest in her.

We have been asked to share this Westerly Pentland which is currently ashore in Deacons Boat Yard in Bursledon (Near Southampton on the River Hamble for non locals). She has been out of the water since covid and her owner has now decided it is time to try and move her on. He’s just had a grandchild in the family and can’t see himself devoting the attention she needs to get her back on the water.

Our team visited the boat to take a look at her and we agree that she would be a great project for someone. There are always things that need doing on an old Westerly (like the headlining) but we think after a good clean through she would instantly look a lot better. As he engine has been sat for a couple of years now that would require some attention but it didn’t appear to be seized. There was a number of sails on board and the owner believes there to be a full set with a few spares. She also has a sprayhood and full cockpit cover which probably cost a small fortune to have made.

Our impression of the boat was a classic Lonely Boat. Just a boat that has sat untouched for a couple of years and needs a new owner to take her on and get her back in the water.
